Integers are closed under the operations of addition and multiplication.<\/p>\n<p>The multiplication of integers is one of the basic operations performed on integers. Multiplication of integers is the same as the repetitive addition which means adding an integer a specific number of times.<\/p>\n<p>When we come to the case multiplication of integers, the following cases must be taken into account:<br \/>\nMultiplying 2 positive numbers<br \/>\nMultiplying 2 negative numbers<br \/>\nMultiplying 1 positive and 1 negative number[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”headingnew”]Rules[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]1. Multiply the absolute values of the integers.<br \/>\n2. If the two factors have the same sign, the product is positive.<br \/>\n3. Example: -1, -2, -3 . . .<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>zero pair<\/strong> – A pair of the positive and negative form of the same number.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Absolute value<\/strong> \u2013 the positive distance that a number is from 0 on a number line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additive inverses<\/strong> \u2013 two integers that are opposites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opposites<\/strong> \u2013 two integers that are the
