Concept

An algebraic function usually has numerical inputs and outputs and is often defined by an algebraic expression or rule. An input-output table is a table that shows how a value changes according to the rule. The algebraic function involves variables and algebraic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 

Rule

Input/ Output Tables:

The input is the value of x that is applied to the algebraic function. The output is the answer that is received as a result of putting x into the function.

Example

Complete the table.

Solution

The values for the variable (x) is given in the Input column.
To find the Output, insert the numbers into the equation (10x), and evaluate.
