Identifying the faces of a composite figure
Rules
- Visualize the faces that make up the composite figures.
- Select the necessary faces and move them to the answer box as many times as they occur on the figure.
- The intersection of two figures is not a face.
Example
Determine what shapes form the surfaces of the composite figure given.
Drag your selections into the answer box. If the same shape is used more than once, drag its name into the box as often as needed.
Solution
The left side pyramid is formed by 4 triangles. The right side cube is formed by 5 squares. The base of the pyramid which forms the 6th side of the cube is not a surface.
