Tips for 2 Times Table

1. 2 times table follows the pattern of even numbers only. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 . . . .

2. To memorize 2 times table, we can take help from 1 times table. We add all the natural numbers from 1 to 10 to the multiple of 1 times table. For example:

1 × 1 + 1 = 1 + 1 = 2 (multiple of 2)
1 × 2 + 2 = 2 + 2 = 4 (multiple of 2)
1 × 3 + 3 = 3 + 3 = 6 (multiple of 2)
1 × 4 + 4 = 4 + 4 = 8 (multiple of 2)
1 × 5 + 5 = 5 + 5 = 10 (multiple of 2) and so on.

1. When a number is multiplied by 2, the answer is twice or double the number.
2. To double means to add a number to itself.
