Concept

Money can be used as a medium of exchange such as coins, notes, etc used to pay for services and commodities. We give money in return for anything like chocolates, cake, fruits, food, football, bat, racket, house, or, anything which can be used for selling or buying we exchange money for those things. Money is used in the form of paper or coins, money is usually issued by a government and generally used its face value as a method of payment for things. Economists typically defined money as a widely accepted means of payment. Money is anything that can be easily used for goods and services.

The US dollar is the official currency of the United States of America. A currency is the system of money used in a country.
Here are the various cent coins. ยข stands for cent.

Rules

1. Count bills
1. Identify each of the bill and its value both the front and back side, give its name and how much it is worth.
2. One of the easiest ways to count money is to start by sorting the bills into groups. Once you have all of the same bills together, the next step will be much easier.
3. Find the bills with the biggest value. Since all of the bills in that group have the same value they can use skip counting to count them.

How much money is there?

Solution

1. Start counting the bills.
There is one $5 bill and three $1 bills.

Total bills are $5 + $3 = $8

2. Start counting the coins.
There is one dime (10 cents) and 2 pennies (2 cents)

Total coins are 10 cents + 2 cents = 12 cents.

There are $8 and 12 cents altogether.
