Concept
The expanded form or expanded notation is a way of writing numbers to see the math value of individual digits. When numbers are separated into individual place values, they can also form a mathematical expression. The standard form is the reverse of expanded form.
Rules
1. Read the number from left to right.
2. Use the place value chart to determine the expanded form.
3. Write the digits in their place value positions.
